Browns Ski Shop

Established in 1980, Browns is a reputable, long-standing Queenstown brand started by two young local ski racers competing on the World Cup Circuit in Europe - Nigel & Derek Brown.

We were approached to direct their brand refresh. Beginning with the logo, because the symbol itself possessed many timeless qualities, this part only called for a front upgrade. For those who are familiar with the Browns brand, you may not notice a whole lot of difference, but perhaps just a nice subtle lift that shows Browns want to maintain a strong connection to their roots whilst they progress and evolve with the world in continuing to bring the latest in ski equipment, knowledge and techniques to the snow market.

Another project we have been working on with Browns is digital TV signage. With data fed live from the NZSki, Cardrona & Treble Cone websites, Swordfox have designed and built a snow report display so customers browsing inside the Browns Ski Shop in Queenstown can see the latest snow conditions on the big screen. With this set up, content displayed can be managed remotely.
